Love Is Something

Love is something two can share,
That feeling in the heart to care,
Not just sex but deep inside,
An honest love no need to hide.

Love is something two can share,
The burdens of your life to bear,
Not just loving for a day,
But togetherness in every way.

Love is something two can share,
The grief and joy that’s everywhere,
It makes the two become just one,
To draw them closer in the sun.

Love is something two can share,
With others in a silent prayer,
To ask the Lord up above,
To make them worthy of His love.

Life is something two can share.
When lights grow dim and they prepare,
To meet their Maker when it’s time,
For them, the Golden Stairs to climb.

Happy Valentines Day

The red dress is beautiful made.
With lots of ribbons to view,.
It will be worn on Valentines Day,
It can be old or shining new.

The cards are made so pretty,
With a big chocolate candy treat.
For the favorite friend in February,
She was so beautiful and neat,

There was always big red hearts,
That was filled with the white lace,
A Valentines day for all the girls,
Were counted in the busy race.

Small boys love to see the cars,
Their Valentines that was read,
It was always a dream of the boys,
One day later on a new car of red.

Do you still have your Valentines?
Did you have them hidden away?
A happy day for the school children,
It will always be Happy Valentines Day.

Why February?

With only twenty-eight days,
Well, actually twenty-eight
And one-quarter days,
Has February been short changed?
Why February is singled out
To give up three  of its precious days—
Is a mystery.

Could it be the cold snowy days
That en-shroud the landscape,
Or the long dreary nights?
Is this fair?

What about March with her fickle winds?
Or April and all those rainy days?
And why not July or August
With the humid oppressive heat?
Is bitter cold any less desirable
Than stifling heat or blustery winds?
Why February?

Ah, when all is said and done,
February holds the high card—
The Queen of Hearts...
Valentine’s Day—a time for lovers.
Fair enough!
