Summer Dance
The summer meadow is awash
With royal diadems
Of elegant Queen Anne’s Lace.
Waltzing with ballroom grace,
Yellowtail butterflies flurry
To flaunt their delicate beauty;
While bluebirds cavort in their finest garb
To celebrate a sunny day.
Not to be outdone,
Black-eyed Susans dance
With the flirting breeze
And smile at the sun.
In eager anticipation,
I wait my turn…
For my heart too—
Loves to dance.

Rosemary
My mother’s herb garden is a pleasant
place.
Nearby is my tree-house and swing set,
rows of parsley, sage and garlic line the fence
which lead to Aunt Kate’s house.
Please come to visit my mother’s
little herb garden
when your summer is far spent.
The Rosemary will be full-grown.
You will see the various herbs
growing from a labor of love.
Mother’s love for herbs
will make our winter months pleasant.
We can all learn from growing
The Rosemary in our
garden.

His Gracious Hands
When I look at a beautiful flower
Grown from a tiny little seed,
I think of God’s gracious hands
The Creator of our land,
For no man can lay claim
To the beauty created
By His hands

Blue skies sunny days
For anyone to enjoy
Walking its era
Looking at beauty around
Brings joy to the heart and soul.
