“Face to Face”
The world grows smaller day-by-day.
Communications have made it that way.
People and places we might never see
Enter our homes on life size TV.
But it’s nice to withdraw from that hectic pace
And talk to people face to face.
I met someone and out of the blue
We talked of things that we both knew.
A displaced “down home” man was he.
We shared our hometown history.
Many old landmarks are changed or gone
But in our memories they lingered on.
Family names would ring a bell...
“Oh yes, we’d say, we knew them well”.
The longer we talked the more I believe...
We’re all related to Adam and Eve.

Tomorrow
Reach out!
Touch tomorrow;
leave yesterday alone.
The world will not remember you
for things you left undone.
Recall moments cherished,
with those you hold most dear.
The caressing of a brow
or a letter from ‘Mother Dear.”
Reach out!
Don’t wait to show you care.
Make someone happy yet today.
Take time to love and care.

Friends And Family
Isn’t it wonderful
To have friends and family?
They are sweet like a melody
A beautiful song
That helps you in time of need
And you feel better and strong.
We meet so many
Traveling through this life
That lifts the stress, strain and strife.
Their kindness lingers
In your heart and soul
And you wish them well
Whatever is their goal.
Children are more precious than gold
Young, in-between or old—
They make life worthwhile every day
For all in this world
I lift them up and pray
Lord, bless all the children of this world
Every boy and every girl
Keep them always in Your care
No matter where they may be
Here in America, or across the sea.
May hate and wars disappear
From Your world you hold so dear
From the valleys to the mountain top
May love for all in this world
Never, ever, stop.
Amen and Amen.
